December 22

Hi Everyone,

As per the latest Health Orders the Legion will be closed December 23rd  until at least January 18th 2022.

We will be open tomorrow, we will have Bingo so please come join us, have a little fun and wish your comrades a Merry Christmas.  It will be a while before we can get together again so we truly hope to see you tomorrow.

If you can't make it down we wish you a Merry Christmas and we will see you in the new year.

Additionally, if you purchased tickets for the New Year's Eve potluck dinner come into the Legion tomorrow so we can refund you.  Otherwise you will need to wait until we're-open again.

Take care, stay safe and remember to be kind.

December 10

Hi Everyone,

Well next Saturday, December 18th Meat Draw we are having an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest.  So how ugly can it get, the uglier the better!  You don't have an ugly Christmas sweater, no problem, use one of your ugliest regular sweaters and decorate it yourself.  That's what Jim is doing, he told me, so right from the horse's mouth.  No talent, no problem, guaranteed to be uglier😁😂😂😂

So folks come on out next week and have a bit of fun with this contest and the Meat draw..  Who knows you might win a turkey too.

Don't forget the Meat Draw tomorrow too.   Lot's of meat, lots of fun.  Hope to see you there.

October 25

Hello everyone,

We have a correction for Remembrance Day.  We are not able to seat 80 people after the ceremony as we will be in the lounge side.  Seating will be limited.  Poppies will be available starting October 29.  Please help support and honour our veterans past and present.

The Early Bird Membership renewal is underway.  If you would like a chance to win your 2022 membership fee, renew before November 30.

Halloween is coming!  Do you have your costume ready for our Show on October 29 with Steve Elliot?  There will be prizes for the best female and best male costumes, maybe you will be the lucky one.  For those who do not like to dress up come join us, enjoy the dinner and show and see all the creative spooky costumes.  If you do not have a ticket yet, they are available at the bar in the lounge for $25.00 each.  This price includes a fabulous dinner.  Seating is limited so don't wait.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Kind Regards,

Folks we are finding that more of our members want to receive email communication from their Legion.  We have also noticed we have a lot of incorrect email addresses.  If you want to stay informed please email your full name and email address to legionbranch56@gmail.com.

Thank you for helping us keep you informed.

It is almost time to honour and remember our Veterans, past and present.  Stand with us November 11th at 11 am to honour all Vets and those who serve.  The Legion invites you to join us for some refreshments after the celebration.

Remember we are required to follow Covid protocol.  We have limited seating (80) people max.  Please show your vaccine passport to staff as you enter.  Always wear your mask while moving around and maintain a safe distance.  These are the rules we must follow so we can stay open and avoid penalties....so Be Kind and stay safe.
